Alana Malangagio

Alana Malingagio is a rising senior who has studied film at Viewpoint since her freshman year and has worked to hone technical skills and writing.

She has had a passion for visual storytelling since long before her endeavors in film: her background as a competitive dancer helped expose her to the components of storytelling at a young age. Since then, she has worked on over eight students films throughout high school, taking on a wide range of crew positions.

In 2022 Alana wrote and directed a narrative, experimental, short film about grief entitled "Morning," which has screened at festivals such as the Tallgrass Film Festival.
